Children's fire brigade - Become a member
Service description
More and more volunteer fire brigades are offering children's groups in addition to the youth fire brigade, in which children and young people aged 10 to 17 can become members.
These groups, often referred to as Bambinifeuerwehr, Kinderfeuerwehr, Löschzwerge, Minifeuerwehr, etc., accept children between the ages of 6 and 10.
The fire brigade and its work are not yet the centre of attention here. It's more about playing, making things and learning in an age-appropriate way.
Procedure
If your child wants to or should join the children's fire brigade, please contact your local fire brigade. You can find out the address, e-mail or telephone number from your local authority or on their website or newsletters or on the website of your fire brigade.
Prerequisites
Children between the ages of 6 and 10 can take part in children's fire brigades. At the age of 10, they can switch to the youth fire brigade.
Legal basis
What else should I know?
The children are comprehensively insured against accidents during group lessons or events organised by the children's fire brigade as well as on the way there and back.
