Monument book - inspect

  • Service description

The entry of a property in the register of monuments is made for the information of the public. (Whether something is a cultural monument, on the other hand, is determined by Section 2 of the Hessian Monument Protection Act itself: every property that fulfils the criteria listed there is a cultural monument).

If you want to know whether your building is a cultural monument of special significance, you can consult the register of monuments. Depending on the city or district, this is also possible for some areas on the Internet: https://denkxweb.denkmalpflege-hessen.de

Anyone is permitted to inspect the register of monuments.

  • Procedure
