Change of use of buildings

  • Service description

A change of use is a change to the authorised type of use of a building. The change of use - even without structural changes - requires planning permission if public building law imposes different or more stringent requirements on the building in its new use. This is usually the case. The procedure is the same as for the authorisation of new buildings.
