    If you want to run a riding or driving business, you need a licence.

    The licence can be granted to an individual person (sole proprietorship) or a corporation. In the case of a partnership, the individual personally liable partners each receive a licence.

    • the general administrative cost regulations and
    • the administrative cost regulations for the business area of the Ministry for the Environment, Energy, Agriculture and Consumer Protection

    It is recommended to enquire about the exact amount at the competent veterinary office.

Who should I contact?

Contact the competent veterinary office of the district or city in which you wish to operate the riding or driving business.
If you wish to carry out your activity at different locations at the same time, a separate licence from the veterinary office responsible for the location of the branch is required for each location.

For those who wish to carry out this activity at different locations, the veterinary office of the place where the company usually has its registered office or winter quarters or is registered as a business is responsible for issuing the licence; for companies without a registered office in Germany, the veterinary office responsible for the place where the first activity is carried out.
