Vehicle licence plate: Small licence plate
Service description
When registering a vehicle, it is not uncommon for a request to be made for a smaller licence plate (so-called "US licence plate" or light motorcycle licence plate).

In the event that an application is made for an exemption permit, confirmation from an officially recognised expert is required that it is either not technically possible to attach normal-sized number plates due to the structural characteristics of the vehicle or that disproportionate effort would be required for the conversion to attach a proper number plate. According to case law, conversion costs of up to 10 per cent of the current value of the vehicle are reasonable.
