    The task of the districts and independent cities is to protect and promote the health of children and young people. To this end, they work together with day care centres for children and schools.

    The area of responsibility includes

    • School entry examinations,

    • Information, advice and education on health hazards and health-promoting behaviour,

    • Carrying out vaccination counselling and vaccination campaigns,

    • Individual counselling for pupils and teachers,

    • Disability counselling,

    • Health reporting.
