    If you want to buy a gun, you will need a gun ownership licence. The authorisation to purchase ammunition must be entered separately. The weapon ownership card does not authorise you to carry the weapon outside your home or business premises, your pacified property or a shooting range. Only the "firearms licence" in conjunction with the firearms possession card entitles you to do this.

Who should I contact?

The firearms licence is issued by the firearms authority in your district administration or the administration of your district-free city. There you can also find out about the documents and forms you need to bring with you.
