    If you want to carry a firearm in public, i.e. outside your home or business premises, your pacified property or a shooting range, you need a firearms licence. This also applies to alarm, irritant and signal weapons ("small" firearms licence).

  • Prerequisites

    Requirements for obtaining a firearms licence:

    • Age of majority (18 years),
    • Reliability,
    • Personal suitability,
    • Proof of a need,*
    • Proof of liability insurance,*
    • Proof of technical and legal firearms expertise*.

    * Not required for "small" firearms licence.
