Show death as an institution

If a person dies in your institution, you must report this to the registry office in whose area of responsibility they died.

This concerns

• Hospitals
• Retirement and nursing homes
• Hospice
• Facilities for mentally ill people
• Youth welfare facilities
• Correctional centres

The competent authority enters the death in the death register. Among other things, the time and place of death, the place and date of birth of the deceased person, the place of residence and the name of the partner or spouse are entered in the register.
