Cultural promotion

Clubs, associations or groups that aim to contribute to cultural diversity in the town of Rodgau within the scope of their possibilities are eligible for funding. These are summarised as cultural associations.

The cultural association should:

  • have their registered office in Rodgau
  • have existed for at least one year before submitting the application
  • be open to all interested residents of Rodgau
  • charge appropriate membership fees
  • contribute to the cultural life of the town of Rodgau through public events, performances or exhibitions or represent Rodgau culturally elsewhere

Cultural offerings have a decisive influence on a city's attitude to life. A lively cultural scene has a decisive effect on the intellectual climate of the city. The city of Rodgau regards the culturally active individuals and organisations in its area as the main pillars of cultural life in the city. The offers and activities of the population should be promoted in order to enable a comprehensive cultural life and experience.

Culture Prize and Culture Promotion Prize

The city of Rodgau awards an annual cultural prize or cultural promotion prize. The prize is primarily of a non-material nature. Its main purpose is to honour the artist and his or her work, with which the town of Rodgau demonstrates its importance for art and culture. The cultural prize and the cultural promotion prize are to be awarded alternately each year.


Culture Prize

The Culture Prize is awarded for outstanding cultural achievements. It aims to recognise and promote individuals and groups who have made a special contribution to artistic and cultural life in the town of Rodgau. The prizewinner or achievement should be of significance beyond Rodgau and contribute to the cultural reputation of the town of Rodgau.


Cultural Award

By awarding the cultural sponsorship prize, the town of Rodgau supports young artists from the fields of visual arts, writing, performing arts or music who are recognised as having exceptional artistic talent and who are still in training or at the beginning of their career.


The city's code of honour for successes and achievements

The Code of Honour serves to publicly recognise sporting, cultural, social and breeding successes, achievements or merits in clubs.

The city of Rodgau publicly recognises achievements in the above-mentioned areas as well as personalities who have rendered outstanding services in voluntary association activities by awarding them a badge of honour, badge of honour, letter of honour or an honorary title, together with a certificate.
